Spotlight on Abilities is a private occupational therapy service provided by Dinah Stocker. Dinah has had over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist. She has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She is registered with the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Dinah’s philosophy of life long learning has lead her to complete a Masters of Education (special education) and the UNB Autism Supervisor’s Course along with continually keeping updated with current techniques which may be helpful to meeting the needs of the people who seek her services.
Dinah’s various volunteer experiences also have added to her “toolkit”. Organizing junior wheelchair sports, disabled skiing at Crabbe Mountain, holding various executive and board positions with various organizations and teaching dog obedience classes have contributed to her life long learning. Who knows what experiences will come next?
Dinah has a unique ability to work with children and families to help them overcome their struggles in their daily lives. During her past work at UNB, one mother was quoted in a publicity booklet for the UNB Venture Campaign:
“Christina just loves to see Dinah…”
